Today we had the opportunity to welcome in our office representatives of the German Embassy in Sofia – the head of the economic department Mr. Moritz Seiler and Mrs. Elisabeth Fomitschow, who are responsible for the business connections of German companies in Bulgaria as well as Bulgarian companies in Germany. The guests have shown great interest in the projects which are supported by IIS in cooperation with the mother-company AKDB.

There are not great number of people who realize that, whenever one goes to the car registration office in a German town of any size, there is a great probability that their request is being processed by software “Made in Bulgaria”. Also the driver licenses which are in almost everyone’s pockets most probably have been issued by the same software.

Apart from the products, which have been traditionally developed in the Sofia office, iiS takes momentum in new projects for HR, student loans (BAFöG), and housing benefits (Wohngeld), just to name a few.

We are proud to have the opportunity and privilege to support the state with the biggest economy in EU in its way to full digitization of the administrative processes.

At last weekend’s Vitosha 100 race held at the picturesque foot of the mountain, iiS was represented by the newest addition to our team. A worthy achievement this time promises an even better ranking next time. For us, it is a joyful fact that fundamental components of the company’s value system, such as dedication, discipline and the desire to give the best of yourself, are manifested once again.

The Vitosha 100 race began in the seventies of the last century, and at the very beginning it had no competitive nature at all. Part of the route was Mountain Lyulin so that the originally planned 100 km could be reached. People gathered and covered the route in 24 hours at a tourist pace. With each passing year, the times for the crossing decrease, which gives the competitive nature of the event. There is now a route for cyclists. There are not a few people for whom annual participation is mandatory, and there are hardly any who do not want to come back next time. The race is important to many people because there is something special about the fact that it goes around the Vitosha mountain – a symbol of the capital.
